What Does Your Body Need Right Now?

We hear so many rules about what we should eat, how we should live, and what being “healthy” is supposed to look like. But what if the better question is simply: What does my body need right now?

In this week’s episode of the Beyond Binge Eating podcast, I sat down with Tatiana, better known as Meat-Based Tati. After five and a half years of carnivore and meat-based eating, Tatiana shares how her approach has evolved through different seasons of her life—and why pregnancy has made her even more intentional about nourishment, ingredients, and caring for her body.

One thing that really stood out to me was Tatiana’s experience with food noise. Before carnivore, she followed a low-fat bodybuilding diet and remembers constantly feeling hungry and thinking about food. Eating in a way that left her feeling truly nourished gave her a very different experience.

Throughout our conversation, we explored:

  • How feeling nourished can change your relationship with hunger and food.
  • Why what works for your body may change through different seasons.
  • How pregnancy influenced Tatiana’s approach to carnivore and meat-based eating.
  • Why simple, consistent habits can sometimes matter more than complicated wellness routines.

One line from Tatiana especially stayed with me:

“Everyone’s different. Obviously everyone’s past is different, gut is different. And so we just kind of got to take a look at it and like, okay, what do we need now?”

I love that question: What do we need now?

Whether or not carnivore is part of your own story, I hope this conversation encourages you to approach your body with curiosity, pay attention to what genuinely supports you, and remember that taking care of yourself doesn’t have to look exactly like anyone else’s version of health.
